Reading Challenge: 101 Fantasy Reading Challenge

PhotobucketHave you read over the list of 101 of the Best Fantasy Books?  I have, and I discovered I’ve only read 27 of the top 101.  That leaves a lot of books waiting to be read!

In order to give myself a little encouragement, I’m creating a 101 Fantasy Reading Challenge.

So here are the rules:
1. Pick the number of books you want to read. It can be a mixture of the top 101, and/or the whole list. For example, you might want to aim to read 5 from the top 101 and 5 from the rest of the list.
2. Create a list of the books you want to tackle. You can create a list now, or add them as you go. Completely up to you.
3. The challenge runs from 10/10/09 to 10/10/10.
4. Please post the direct link to your 101 Fantasy Reading Challenge post. (so that other participants can visit and see what you are reading)

Oh, that could be fun! I was planning to re-read the Harry Potter books in 2010, and I think they’re all on the list. That could be fun!

What was the methodology for making this list?

  17. 17Bellaon 14 Nov 2009 at 9:38 am

Schatzi – Jo and I asked people to nominate books, and then we took votes over a period of several weeks.

Hi, Bella! I’ve joined this challenge & now I finally decided to make my book list & I was just wondering if some fantasy book that I’m planning to read, but it’s not at all on the list, will be counted as part of the challenge or no? For example, on the list are “Eragon” & “Eldest” by Paolini, but not the 3rd “Brisingr”. Thanx…
